As an Art Director working for the Simmons® Bedding Company, I was put in charge of many photo shoots. My directing responsibilities included styling, approving the location of the shoot, casting the talent, and directing photo content, angles, lighting and other aspects needed for a successful end product. 
This particular photo shoot was for a natural- and holistic-themed Simmons® brand named Natural Care®.  As the photo shoot site, we chose the Serenbe community, a sustainability-oriented community in Chattahoochee Hills, GA. We hired environmental lifestyle expert Danny Seo to be part of this new brand launch. With the help of quite a few experts, our team produced a highly successful shoot.  As a bonus, I was able to use my dog, Karma, in the photography to reinforce the natural theme.

Another photo shoot I directed while at Simmons® was for a brand called sang™ (lowercase by design), a brand with a very modern, European look and feel. The brand director wanted the photos to be sexy, clean, and a tad risqué. This was the first time that we used a modern pattern on the mattress fabric, so the photos needed to show this new and important feature.

This photo shoot involved child models and it was a blast! Believe it or not, kids are often hard to shoot; they tend to want to pose instead of being candid. Nevertheless I chose a great group of kids  for our Beautyrest Beginnings® and SlumberTime® brands for youths. The goal was to show that our mattresses could last from the toddler years up into the teen years. We also featured the spill resistance of these mattress brands, an essential marketing feature, in our photos.
